Eastman – Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui: Nomad

Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui presented the first version of Nomad in 2017, at the Prague Dance Festival, with the dancers of the Belgian Eastman and 420PEOPLE, a contemporary dance collective, whose artistic director, Václav Kuneš had invited him to the event.
In Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s concept, the flora and fauna of the desert, the wind-carved dunes, the special environment that presents an extraordinary challenge for life, the experience of physical and emotional thirst, the spirituality of the wasteland, form a living mosaic that reveals a thick mesh of logical connections. The full-length version of the production was created in 2019.
