Budapest in 100 Words

Health resort under the oaks

A lot of things have happened this year, but nothing in the manner we are used to. The Budapest in 100 Words competition also broke the mould by being launched at the end of the summer, but in time for Budapesters to encapsulate in a hundred words all they had to say about the city.
This year’s jury – Sára Luca Boncsér, Benedek Szabó and Péter Závada – will not only decide on the best stories, but will set some of them to music, as it is now a tradition. The winners will be announced in November.
The venue is also special, an out of use mineral water bottling plant on Margaret Island. Here, in the heart of the city, it is always quiet, and through the large windows, we can find a new perspective on the bustling city, as did János Arany, under the oaks, during his summers on the island.
